Time Flies When You Are Having Fun!

Fast forward one year following the first installation, GS-MR’s IG-L Robotic Glass Loading System has firmly established its industry position as the unique UK designed & manufactured robotic solution to the manual loading of glass.
The unique functionality, repeatability and reliability of GS-MR’s IG-L continues to meet demand head on and exceed expectations.
Glass Systems and GS-MR celebrated the anniversary with a meet up at their Pontyclun site. Huge thanks to the team at Glass Systems!

Sharing in the success, attending were (L-R) Andrew Cartwright (Regional Production Manager – Wales), Louise Evans (Marketing & Communications Executive), Mark Bramall (Managing Director of Dyke Yaxley Ltd), Stuart Cheyne (General Manager of Kawasaki Robotics (UK) Ltd), Khaled Elleboudy (Managing Director of Glass Systems), Robert Owen (Director of GS-MR), Louise Banks (Shift Manager) and Kris Kingdom (Production Manager).

Khaled Elleboudy said, “Even with automation, employees without doubt remain a company’s greatest asset. Glass Systems welcomes the undisputed improvements in safety and productivity the IG-L has brought. Not having our employees manually load glass continuously is something Glass Systems is very proud of.

With the introduction of GS-MR’s IG-L Glass Systems has been able to improve glass loading safety processes, we have also redeployed and upskilled our team members throughout other important areas of production, thereby improving upon quality, productivity and employee retention.

GS-MR’s IG-L, as predicted, is the glass industry game changer and it is firmly established as our go to automated safe glass loading system.”

Kris Kingdom, Production Manager at Glass Systems, said, “It’s unthinkable that we would now want to operate without our IG-L and revert to the continuous manual loading of glass. We don’t worry about it, we can safely trust the reliability of our IG-L to do its thing, which is great for us.

Feedback I have received is that my colleagues have been more than happy to be upskilled to operate the IG-L, whilst also being available to work in other important areas of production. It’s a huge win-win all around for everyone here. It’s a shame this type of automation wasn’t available 20 years ago.”

Undisputed fabulous customer feedback.
