Frequently Asked Questions

Is robotic automation a new concept?

Put simply, no.  Robotic automation is ingrained into global manufacturing to the extent where the global automotive industry would now fail to exist without it.  Robotic automation has been successfully utilised throughout manufacturing for over 35 years.

Well-designed & thought-out process orientated automation is not expensive when compared to poorly designed solutions which do not meet customers’ requirements & which also incorporate non-commercially available parts.

Robotic automation is not designed to result in job losses, indeed it is designed to positively enhance an employees work environment.  All robotic automation systems, including AI driven, ultimately require skilled manual intervention & operation.

Well-designed automation solutions enable improvements in quality, productivity, savings in materials wastage, in addition to improvements in safety & employee well-being.  Well-designed, process orientated automation affords the customer a long-term, cost-effective solution, enabling the ability to future proof their business operation.

Poorly designed automation, incorporating fluctuating processes & intermittent manual intervention, together with commercially unavailable parts, leads to more issues than a fully manual process.  Poorly investigated processes lead to semi-automated solutions which can fail to deliver on multiple levels, not least in failing to give a long-term, tangible return on the customer’s investment.

Well-designed robotic automation, designed and built with the latest safety processes and guidelines in mind, and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, is safe to use.

All GS-MR robotic automation solutions have been designed & manufactured by us with ease of operation in mind.  If you can operate a smart phone or a smart television then you could operate a GS-MR robotic automation solution.

We do.  No other company designs or manufactures GS-MR’s automation solutions on our behalf.

Our PRO:Load robotic automated process is patented in the UK & USA, with patents pending in Europe & Australia.  Other GS-MR designed processes have patents pending.

GS-MR design & manufacture their bespoke robotic automation solutions themselves at their manufacturing site in Telford, Shropshire, UK.

GS-MR’s system software automatically links to customer data via the customers’ existing batch files.

No additional costly programming or recurring annual licence fee is required by GS-MR in order to operate our robotic automation systems.

All GS-MR robotic automation solutions are designed & manufactured by us with quality & reliability at their foundation, all utilising commercially available parts.

GS-MR recommend, on average, an annual service for each robotic automation solution.

Only the glass crusher can handle broken glass.

Should broken glass regularly find its way into your glass processing stillages then further investigation into your processes is required, urgently.

If safety is the only aspect you can see then you can rest assured you have identified a huge benefit in our robotic automation solutions.  Box ticked.

The benefits of GS-MR’s robotic automation solutions are multi-faceted.  If safety is the only benefit you can see then it is clear your current manual solutions are acknowledged as dangerous.  Employee safety is a huge issue and all employees deserve to work within a safe environment.

GS-MR’s automated systems are designed and manufactured with core business principles in mind, relating to longevity, reliability and quality.  We are unfortunately unable to assist in projects relating to used robots.
