GS-MR ’s IG-L Robotic Glass Loading System Real Customer Feedback

Feedback from Press Glass UK regarding their IG-L robotic glass loading system installations remains excellent:

  • Andrew Cartwright
  • Head of Operations
  • Press Glass UK, Pontyclun

“We’ve had the robot at Direct for over two years now.  The line we run is a high-speed line.
We all know in the industry that an operator can manually pre-load multiple glass panes onto an inlet station for processing, the line can only process one at a time.
The robot runs consistently and does not stop for a chat or a break.
Sam our Shift Manager, who runs the robot at Direct, is very happy with it and says it is the way forward.
Overall, it runs safely and consistently, it reduces manual handling in the workplace and operators have been used in different areas and upskilled.
It is a win win and I would not want to be without it now.”

  • Dean Ingram
  • Production Manager
  • Press Glass UK, Barnsley

“It’s been installed for around 9 months now at Barnsley and my operators find it easy to run.
It runs consistently and meets the demand for the line.
It’s easy to load and my operators have no problem using it.
They have less aches and pains from physically moving the glass.
I like the robot and enjoy working with it.”
