GS-MR ‘got out the good biscuits’ recently when they invited Stuart Cheyne, UK Marketing and Sales Manager and Ian Hensman, Channel Manager, of Kawasaki Robotics (UK) Ltd to GS-MR’s new premises in Centurion Park, Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
In addition to the continuing success of GS-MR’s IG-L Robotic Loading System, which utilises the extensive capabilities of a Kawasaki BX-130X, other exciting live customer projects were discussed for various areas within the glass industry.
Earlier this year GS-MR were delighted to be awarded with membership of the Kawasaki Robotics (UK) Preferred Integrator Scheme.
Ian Hensman, commented ‘Kawasaki Robotics (UK) Ltd were keen to work with GS-MR as this is at the very start of suppling robots into an industry sector that traditionally has been reluctant to use robots for product handling. We were happy to allocate one of our demo cells for the development of the handling system for the duration of the project, whilst GS-MR were awaiting completion of their premises. Working closely with GS-MR we have come to understand the problems that the industry sector has and have used our experiences in other sectors to help’.
