GS-MR’s PRO:Load is the automated alternative to manual loading of IGU glass pane.
Fully automated and simple to operate via HMI, the PRO:Load quickly verifies your glass pane batches against your customer data prior to loading.
If the glass pane fails verification it doesn’t get loaded, saving you time and money on line stoppages. The PRO:Load simply moves onto processing the next pane of glass.
Located within a full safety cell, with a footprint similar to manual loading, the PRO:Load leaves your IGU Operators free to be upskilled and redeployed elsewhere within your organisation.

History & Development
The global Insulated Glass Unit industry (IGU) continues to face multiple challenges impacting upon manufacturing performance. These challenges are firmly on the radar of every IGU manufacturer.
The mission for any industry manufacturer is to achieve defined, lean manufacturing, meeting or exceeding environmental and safety responsibilities, whilst reducing unnecessary costs.
The IGU industry utilises technology, combined with historical manual handling processes, yet has resisted in taking advantage of automation and the advantages it affords.
In listening to Press Glass UK’s concerns in 2018, and challenging an historical manual industry process, GS-MR developed the PRO:Load Robotic Glass Loading System; the automated solution to manual glass loading onto IGU processing lines.
Our first prototype failed to make the cut; despite this we keep it as an historical memento.
Our second prototype was capable in application, but it was clear we could do much better.
Our third and final prototype met the grade. With modifications, including a vastly improved capability to aid increased capacity and strength, meeting the industry demand and requirement to process heavier glass pane.
Fast forward to the present and the success of GS-MR’s in-house designed and manufactured PRO:Load automation solution is measured by their contribution to future proofing the IGU industry, facilitating previously unavailable advantages, enabling reductions in materials wastage, improvements in quality and productivity, reduced safety issues, enabling employee upskilling.
Following multiple installations, with its proactive, industry leading verification software and operational process, Press Glass UK acknowledge GS-MR’s PRO:Load as the automated alternative for safe, cost-effective, consistent loading of glass from vertical stillages onto IGU processing lines.
GS-MR have been granted patents for our unique PRO:Load operational process both in the UK and USA, with patents pending in Europe and Australia.
